2003 - Annual
Fall Open
House
September 21, 2003
Thank you to those who came.
In spite of a rainy, gray, cool, but not cold day. The 2003 Fall Open
House went off as expected. The buildings had been cleaned, washed and in
the case of the caboose, Scrubbed
inside and OUT. The "not quite live" residents were ready for their
visitors. The chain link fence was removed and split rail corner fences
marked the boundaries of the park and the locations of future gardens.
Plants were brought in to brighten the open spaces and the doors were opened
wide for guests.
Scott Stilwell entertained those who were present with songs written
for the occasion and the historical songs of the times represented by the park's
facilities. Refreshments were served and a good time was had by those who
attended.
A light was left burning in the window to welcome those driving in the
neighborhood.
